\nTo measure the amount of oil delivered, use a measurement stick or a meter (either yours or the driver\u2019s). In all cases, you must make sure that the meter has the right grading and that it is fully developed during measurement. Respectively, the stick must be straight, without distortions.<\/p>\n
\nLength (in cm.) x width (in cm.), where the height difference will be the amount of oil after delivery (measurement) minus the oil level you had measured before the delivery (estimate of quantities).
\nTherefore, if for example before delivery you measured that the oil level was at 15 cm. and after delivery it went to 65 cm., then the amount delivered to you in liters is:(65\u201315)x100x200:1.000) \u2013 1.000 liters<\/p>\n\n
\nYou can use the tank meter as complementary measurement. However, in any case, the estimate of quantities – measurement method is deemed to be the safest one, as long as it is performed correctly. If you use a tank meter, make sure the content of the level pipe is similar to the tank\u2019s content and not some lighter fluid which will show a higher level than the actual one.<\/p>\n
\nif you have a metal tank, consult the tanker meter as an auxiliary measurement method.<\/p>\n
\nEnsure frequent cleaning of the burner, as well as of the oil tank.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>The plastic tanks, due to their shape (they are usually bending or not rectangular), as well as due to the non-stability in their shape, depending on the fuel contained, are not deemed to be reliable for measurement with the classic meter or the stick. In this case, make sure the manufacturer has given the grading of the volume on a side marker (having of course taken into account the deformation).
\nIn order the estimates of quantities and the measurements to be correct, their manufacture should not alter their geometry when adding the oil. This can only be ensured by the manufacturer.
